1. Postdoctoral fellow / Research Associate (Full-time)

The aim of the project is to understand bilingual and biliterate language development and disorders. The candidate will supervise several undergraduate student research assistants in experimental design, data collection and data analysis. A PhD degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science or other related fields is required for the postdoctoral position. University graduate who has experience running behavioral, ERP, fMRI experiments and data analysis independently is also welcome to apply for the position of research associate. The candidate has to be comfortable with computers and new softwares. Previous knowledge running children subjects in behavioral studies is highly preferred. Knowledge of SPSS and any programming language is preferred. The position is for two year, available immediately, renewable subject to performance.

2.Project Officer / Lab Manager (Full-time)

Our lab is hiring a full-time project officer to assist the PI in data collection, data analysis, preparation of manuscript and daily lab administration. The candidate should be university graduate in psychology, cognitive science, psycholinguistics or related field, preferably has experience working in a research lab. The candidate has to be comfortable with computers and new software. Knowledge of SPSS, e-prime, word processing software, any programming language, operating an ERP machine is preferred. There will be opportunity for the candidate to carry out independent research relevant to our funded research projects on language and music, and bilingual and biliterate language development and disorders. The position is for one year, and is renewable subject to mutual interest and funding availability.

4. Student Research Assistantship

There are several student research assistant positions opened in our neurolinguistics lab. Duties include recruiting and running research participations for both behavioral and imaging experiments, organizing data and preliminary analysis. We are running several projects regarding bilingual and biliterate language development and disorders now. These hands-on experience can be helpful for you to explore your research interest and research direction for your final year project. You will be paid hourly, at the university rate.
